How much interest has accrued on my loan(s)?

For loans serviced by Access Group, you can see how much interest has accrued on your loans by clicking the My Account tab and then the “see details” link next to each loan in the “Loans” table. For loans serviced by The Student Loan People, visit www.thestudentloanpeople.com/accessgroup and log in to your account.

While you are in school or in grace, you will also receive quarterly interest letter that will list the accrued interest.

When does accrued interest get added to my balance?

Generally, unpaid accrued interest is added to the principle at the end of the grace period prior to entering repayment and at the end of periods of deferment/forbearance.

What is the balance of my account now? For loans serviced by Access Group, you can view the estimated current balance on your account by clicking the My Account tab and checking the total column in the “Loans” table. Note: This is not your payoff amount and may not include supplement fees. For loans serviced by The Student Loan People, visit www.thestudentloanpeople.com/accessgroup and log in to your account.

When does my repayment begin?   For Federal loans, repayment begins six months after the borrower graduates or after enrollment status drops below half time. For Access Group private loans, repayment begins nine months after the student graduates or drops below the required enrollment status (see your Statement of Loan Terms and Conditions for specifics). Borrowers will receive a notification letter and repayment package approximately 45 days prior to entering repayment.
